Defending Plural Experiences is a performance work by Alicia Frankovich that was commissioned for the Framed Movements exhibition curated by Hannah Mathews, Associate Curator at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art as part of the 2014 Melbourne Festival. Framed Movements examined works that blur the boundaries between dance and art.
Defending Plural Experiences celebrates human possibility and transformative potential through a devised choreography. The work uses movement to focus attention on joining together many individuals in collective situations. Plurality was its key premise and our aim was to bring together a diverse range of participants from various social and cultural communities.
